A few days ago trying to weld-up a snow blade for a 4-wheeler, It did fine for about 10 minutes, about 3-4 ins. of bead at a time, then quit putting anything out.It started humming and blowing breakers so i did the research and tested the diodes. They failed. People are saying to replace all of them at same time because if one fails then it usually takes out the other. i found the 9sm9661-39 and 9sm9661-39r diodes online but they are running like 50 each. i remember while searching for a cheaper option ...I had two mm130 one was a 130 xp. I would say a fair comparison would be to a Lincoln sp 125 plus. The cost was about even ($500.00 new) The MM 130 was really not much of a welder but the xp version could more then hold it's own with the 125 Lincoln. I prefer the MM 130 xp over the new MM 135, My XP came with the Hobart OXO gun, that was really ...If your machine is a SP-125T, check the voltage selector switch. A bad switch will kill both weld power and wire feed. A bad switch will also prevent power from getting to the rectifier. A bad rectifier will take out both weld and wire feed in either an SP-125T or an SP-125-PLUS. Cheers,One sure sign is if the wire burns back in the contact tip.
